What will ISDN do for me?
With a ISDN line you will connect to Internet Texas at a speed of 128k and it is all digital so no more slow 33.6 or 56k modem connections.

ISDN, which stands for Integrated Services Digital Network, is a system of digital phone connections which has been available for over a decade, and now it is available in many areas that Internet Texas serves. This system allows data to be transmitted across the Internet using digital connectivity.

ISDN provides you the ability to connect to the Internet at a rate of 64kb or 128kb. No more relying on plain old telephone lines (POTS), 33.6 modems, 56k modems and slow speeds. With 128k ISDN access you are able to complete your Internet task almost five times faster than the average modem connection.

Ordering a ISDN Line
You will need to have a ISDN line installed by your telephone company.

If your phone company is Southwestern Bell you may order an ISDN by calling SWBT at one of the following numbers, Residental customers - 800-464-7928, or Business customers - 800-499-7928.

If your phone company is GTE then you may call 1-800-483-4450 or signup online at:

For other phone companies please check your phone book for ordering information.
Internet Texas Charges
A ISDN line actually contains two 64k channels, and when you connect to Internet Texas you will be connecting both channels, or two phone lines. The charge for this service is $39.90 per month, $215.40 per 6 months or $382.80 per 12 months. Prices do not include tax.  If you require assistance to setup your equipment then a $50.00 setup fee will apply.
Connect Your ENTIRE Business
With a ISDN Router Internet Texas can setup your entire business network system to connect via one ISDN line. Pay only one connect fee and have 1 - 30 computers connected to the Internet.
Equipment Needed
To use ISDN you will need a ISDN Terminal Adapter or ISDN router. A terminal adapter will allow you to connect one computer or with additional software and hardware you can connect multiple computers to the Internet. A ISDN router is installed on your local area network and allows access to the Internet by all of the computers in your office or home through one ISDN line. ISDN Terminal Adapters cost between $99.00 and $279.00. ISDN Routers cost between $699.00 and $1299.00. Prices of these items are determined by the features that are included. A low end Terminal Adapter will work just fine for a home or business that only needs to connect one computer to the Internet. Routers in the $699.00 range will work just fine for a business or home that wants to connect multiple computers to the Internet but does not need some of the advanced features. Both of these items are available from Internet Texas.

If you need more information about ISDN just send an Email to isdninfo@itexas.net with your name, phone number, and general information about how you want to use a ISDN connection and someone will either Email you or call you to discuss your application.
